Are you shaving the ends off of the ball cups, or are they different ball cups? If you're shaving them, why are you doing that? Just wondering...

you cut the top off the ball end so you can remove the tie rodes without poping out the plastic ends.

You have to upgrade every ball to the hex end version but it is worth it.

I have done this to my 415MRE from day one and had no ball end come off.

just cut the top round part off to expose a 2 -2.5mm hole where you can put the hex wrench through.

TRF 416 VWE -> Victor Wilck Edition

TRF416 JGE would be really cool , though i like the sound of TRF416 'Victor Edition' .
Greetings Victor

PS: Just out of curiosity, does the Serpent S400 Gear-Diff fit the Tamiya TRF416?
