Default TAMIYA CANADA & TAMIYA USA no parts in stock, need help.

Ok here is the story, a guy asked me to repair his Tank.
It is :TAMIYA 56020 R/C Leopard 2 A6 Main Battle Tank DMD 1/16

We need the following:
9335412 gear bag
0005981 G parts tree
53008 4x bearings(ill get them at the LHS)(11x5bearings)

-Borgfeld TAMIYA CANADA says nothing in stock, approx 2 months from japan
-Tamiya USA will not ship to Canada so we have no idea if they have the parts at all ,but either way they wont send them to me. They said 8-12 weeks is normal from Japan.
-My LHS who looked through Horrizon and Great planes showed nothing available.

Oh i can buy him a new tank no problem there all over ebay and my LHS can get one too!! LOL

Any suggestions? or online stores that may have these in stock? Its not my tank so waiting 2 months is not an issue for me, but the friend im fixing it for kinda cares

PS: not bashing on Tamiya USA or CND. Just giving the info i have.

Anyhelp getting these parts would be great thanks RCTECH USERS!!!

why not look up the parts on the tamiyausa.com site... then have a friend who lives in the US order for you. then have that same friend ship it from their house to your place in canada?

why not get 'em straight from japan if lhs can't supply in time? There are a couple of very good online shops that stock well and ship pretty fast too

Joel.

why don't you send RC champ an email. they problably have the part in stock as they are in Japan. I useally order my part from HK. From either Precision or RC mushroom as my LHS doesn't carry part for my 415. It's useally faster to get the part from HK or Japan, then getting it from the US. If you use EMS shipping. there is useally very little duties if any at all. Unlike UPS. and purolater pick it up and delivers it on EMS part. I hope this helps. Plus RC champ will email you back in less then 24 hours with an a reply.

Hey just came to mind. You can contact Doug@ SIR in Seattle, they can get the parts you need and ship it up to Canada via USPS. Doug is great there too.

contact the museum in danville,va, as they care the parts for the tanks.Ask for karen at aaftankmueseum.com.
If the gears are mess-up in the transmittion you might have to get a new tranmittion as tamiya does not like to sell the gears by themselves.
If they don't have what you need you can go to www.sead.us and you'll be able to get someone under links.

Thanks guys

Turbo: Fusion is the only one that carries anything from the looks of it, but they only have the gear bag 9335412 but no G parts. Oh well i may have to settle with that.

Mushroom,precision got nothing,

Does RC CHAMP have a english site?

Cyruss i sent doug an email.

Thanks, if this was tl01 parts it woudl be soo easy but these tanks seem to be very hard to get parts for.

thanks again

On the ball bearings for the tank you have to watch out for the gease in the bearings. As some of the grease will attack the tamiya plastic! Also don't use any locite as it too will eat the tamiya plastic. Been there an done that.

I would even give ultimatehobbies.com a try. They usually import Tamiya stuff directly from Japan. They may not list it on their website but you could call or email them.
