Default could I use a Futaba 3pk radio with a futaba R123F reciever?

I have a Futaba magnum junior FM transmitter with a Futaba R123F reciever and I want to upgrade my radio system. I really like the 3PK transmitter and I know a place where I can buy the transmitter only. Would it work to use the 3PK with the R123F reciever. The 3PK has that HRS (high response speed) feature and I wasn't sure if the 3PK and the R123F would work together because the R123F doesn't say it has a HRS feature. I'm just asking so I don't buy the transmitter and have it act all wierd with my reciever. If I wanted to later get another car could I use a Novak XXL reciever with the 3PK. Has anyone had any experiance with this? Any opinions or help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

The 3PK will transmitt in one of three modes HRS, PCM, FM so all you have to do is be sure you set the model to the correct mode during setup i have the 3PK and think it is the best radio ever I had M8 super, KO EX1 Mars and Jr but the 3PK is so smooth dont get me wrong any of the others listed is also a fine radio but my choice is the 3PK

Thanks! So all I would have to do is make sure the radio is on the FM setting and not the HRS setting? That sounds easy enough! Thanks!

Yeah, just set it to PPM mode and you're ready to go.

PPM is the setting you use for your R123F FM reciever

Default Futaba 3pk radio with a futaba R123F reciever?

racerdx6;

Each Model setting on the 3PK can have a different Mode of Transmission.
As stated previously they are:

PPM=Pulse Position Modulation

PCM=Pulse Code Modulation

HRS=High Response System. (HRS must be used with Digital Servos and a 6V battery Pack.)

The entire 3PK Manual is avalible for download on the Futaba website.
