Has anyone tried the 4cell GTB with Novak's 13.5? OR has anyone tried the GTB, GTB 4 cell vs the Sphere

with the gtb and the sphere on my 1/12th scale i ran about a 69mm roll out but i could go up a little more but i ran out of gears, they both felt about the same the sphere felt a little smoother

I would have to say that it varies per track. At some small, tight and very technical tracks like the one I race at. A good and consistent driver can beat a 13.5. It just makes it a lot harder. But on a big, sweeping and open track the 13.5 is probably gonna be significantly faster.

Eaxctly what I have found. I race on a small carpet track that is pretty tight so even though I won with my brushed motors I have found the 13.5 is still a little faster but much more efficient. As I go to bigger large sweeping tracks 13.5 motors are 4 to 8 tenths faster a lap.

The 10.5 and 19t brushed on the same flowing tracks and on tight carpet tracks found they are very comparable lap time wise.

Yeah, a lot of the guys up here are running b/l, and it doesn't help that they are fast as it is, but it seems that everyone is switching, and I'm the only one running brushed Oh well, I still have fun, but just need to work on the wheelin' aspect a little more.....b/l really is the future.

I believe that, and also at track like mine, we run night races pretty much every race day, which is every week give or take, so they can gear there 13.5 high, and some even use a LRP motor cooler, and really gear them up. I didnt get sucked into all that crap, I can put my stock motor in, gear it 5.0 and be fast in the infield where it counts...... But now im a 19 turn guy, and new rotors and gearing, racing with brushed guys, ETC does really matter as much IMO, Its alot closer performance wise if you ask me......

Any advantage I make up in the infield gets quickly ate up on the straight, and there is more infield time than straight time...I'm defintely gonna raise teh BS flag if you say that the performance of a 27t and a 13.5 doesn't matter cause you can "gain ground" in the infield and it doesn't matter on the straight. I can't really understand if you're trying to say that or not.

one thing to consider here... sometimes the person giving information on the internets may be a 10+ year racing veteran, or they may be a kid on school break.

Sorry my original post was for offroad.yes i've been racing like 7+ years and the 13.5 is not equal to a stock motor in offroad! lot more torque especially out of corners.my point was that is it equal to a brushed 19t?

There is no way a 27turn can hang with a 13.5 especially at the end of the 5 min mark. this is assuming the driving skill of both drivers are pretty equal.
