Well first off I would have never asked a Tekin specific question if this had in fact been a Novak thread. That being said the question was not for him, at least not specifically. It was for anyone who might know the answer. Had he known the answer to the question, I would have been happy to hear from him on the subject. Since he didnt know the answer he would have served me just as well to not respond.

Im still glad Steve is on here and paying attention to the racers. I think Novak has a fine product. However Im still waiting to see what I want to do before I drop a significant part of my racing budget on a peice of gear.

no nastiness intended... i was simply pointing out that this is a thread for discussion of 13.5 motors in general, not strictly novak, and that the quesiton regarding the tekin 13.5 was probably not directed at steve.

Dont worry about it Steve. You were in the zone answering Novak questions and I came out of the blue asking about the Tekin. Thanks for the response.

Make sure you pick up a sensor harness. Orion, LRP and Novak make them, but my motor didn't come with one. Nexus sells 'em.

There is speculation that the speedpassion is the same as the Orion Vortex. I guess that would be the feiago. Did I say that right?

Yea. SpeedPassion, Orion, GM and possibly others are Feiago motors. It's not clear how much (if any) the design changes from one company to the next, but my understanding is they get at least some input on the construction of the motor. I initially found my Orion 13.5 to be soft, but I'm giving it another chance for the next couple of weeks. It's definitely lighter, which means a lot with these heavy brushless cars when they're using NiMH.

Geez, that doesn't even look like a real sticker. It looks like something that got printed on the office laser jet, trimmed up on the paper cutter, wrapped around the motor and taped together on the back to make it presentable for a picture. Just a guess, though...

At least Orion did a little machine work on their version to make it interesting looking.

Supposedly Hacker is working on a sensored 13.5, so that could potentially mean a fourth manufacturer. More and more, the people making these motors seem to be separated by their rotor design/availability than anything.

Hopefully Tekin's 13.5 is great, the sensorless crowd needs options.

Ah, so that's where all these sensored ESC's are coming from... OEM.
