I am trying to figure out the way to adjust the roll on my 103. I seem to have the o ring suspension that pivots on the ball with the nut at the top of the screw. It also look like there are tweak screw holes in the battery braces right next to the pivot points on the chassis. It does seem different because I cannot screw the pivot screws in any more and look like there should be plenty of more room to screw them done to make the chassis stiffer.

The car I do beleive I have is the RC HP F103 if that helps at all. I guess I am really asking for help on \understanding the suspension on this chassis? LOL

You have the pivot ball suspension, which does not need o rings. You can use tweak screws with that suspension. I started with that suspension last year, using tweak screws. Unfortunately, I found the o ring setup was just as fast with way less hassles.

The good news is that the proper o ring suspension parts should have come with your kit. You should have some unused parts that look just like what you have on the car now, but just have a recess for a hex nut, instead of the capture for the pivot ball. Those parts will allow you to use the o ring.

I unfortunately did not buy the kit new, I bought it from a local in pristine condition and did not get any extra parts with it at all. I like the idea of the tweak screws but they do seem difficult to tune on the fly. I will deffinitelly look into the other type of suspension.

..Could any of you share some ideas on how to hold the battery in without using tape? I'm looking for some different options. I've used bumper foam to act like shims and make the battery very snug, but a small impact will still shift the battery.

i use double sided tape , the padded type for sticking speedos down

.....I dont want to glue or use double sided tape, as thats more permanent. I like to rotate between 2 batteries on race day. The o-ring idea might work. I use that on my 1/12 pan car, and it seems pretty solid.
