To convert to an F1 you will need the narrow F1 chassis and upperdeck as well as a F1 body set. The body set will include the body as well as the front and rear wings.
Where can I buy those parts? I hardly find those in my area LHS....
thanks.

I definitely recommend working with MDI. His prices are good and if anyone can find you Tamiya parts, he can. Depending on the part, you may have to wait a while. Stuff that's currently available like the chassis, he can get you quickly. If you're looking for something rare, it might take a while, but at least you can be sure he'll look for it. To make ordering easier, here's part#'s for the stuff you need to make your LM car into an F type car. F-1 Hard Graphite chassis Part# 53168 (I paid $80 for mine from MDI.) This is a TRF part. The standard chassis plate that comes with the RS and RX kits is not in the current catalog, but I'm sure Les can find it for you. I think he said it was around $30. The FRP Upper Chassis plate (which you want if you use the standard bottom chassis plate) is Part# 53186 The only bodies they have listed in the current catalog are the M-Type, part# 50898, the F-Type, part# 50899, the Lotus 107B, part# 50500, the Sauber C12, part# 50523 and the Williams-Renault FW18, part# 50723. If you are looking for something discontinued, give Les a try. He may be able to find it for you. All body kits come with the hardware necessary to mount them. Some older bodies were made for the F102 chassis, so you may have to modify the front wing to get it to fit your car.
spooky
The TRF car comes with Tamiya's funky .4 gears. It's not 64 pitch. I don't use 64 pitch because I mostly run on asphalt and 48 pitch hold up better, but I think Kimbrough should make a 64 pitch spurgear for the F103.
psycho, i saw the painted Type M body, and its all in black...i was wondering if they have any Silver stickers to go with it to make it the Mclaren look car?
The pictures in the catalog are very small and black and white, so I can't tell. It may be like the Sauber body where you have to mask and use two colors of paint to have it look like the real car. It's also going to have generic Tamiya stickers. Not the sponsor stickers of the real car. You might be able to find the sponsor stickers from some place in Asia. A lot of guys order the cig sponsor logos from Asia.
