ld part #53128 HBR Medium Fronts
and #53129 Soft Rears
New Part #84096 HBR Medium Fronts
*I can't find a NEW part # for HBR Soft Rears.
Anyone?
These #s come up on the Tamiya website for Fronts and Rears but don't say "Soft or Medium" or "HBR" in the tire description like the others do.
Not sure what compounds they are.
#84094 Rear
#84095 Front
Anyone?
Of course there are the premounts that came in the 15th anniversary kit.
They work awesome BUT, they are supersoft and wear out very quickly and cost twice as much as the foam donuts.
hmm tamiya usa still shows #53129 soft rears as avail
I am building a F103R and I am wondering what the best ESC is for racing with the silver can?? Something small and race worthy of course, I was looking Novak and LRP.
I'm thinking about purchasing a car for F1 racing and was wondering if there is a big difference in performance between the F103 and newer F104. I didn't want to go and purchase a F103 and feel that I should have shelled out the extra bucks for a F104 later in time.
Home 13, where do you race at, I am north of you by Woodstock? I talked with a few guys at my track and they all recommend the F103 which is what I got. I will eventually grab a F104 but for now the F103 will suit me just fine. I thought about getting into VTA but it is so expensive, I got some good advice and some info on F1 and I got hooked on the start-up price as well as the side by side racing.

I normally race at Strictly on Sundays. I just started racing a year ago and having a blast so far. I'm racing RCGT and VTA so far. Yesterday was asphalt assault and they had 15 F1 entries. I think on a regular club race there is usually 5-8 F1 cars.
So does anyone have any thoughts on a good small racer ESC?
it's depend on what motor you run mate, futaba mc330 is a small esc but it can handle only up to 14T motor if you decideto run only on silver can and sports tune Futaba mc330 is a good speedo

Thanks!
If you look at the top 8 F1 finishers at Asphalt assualt @ Strictly. All were 103

I use a Tekin FX in mine. Very small and fits on the bottom plate nicely.
I mounted it with the solder tabs facing out and positioned it so I can get to the adjustment tabs through the top deck.

I am still not sold on the F104. My F103R is working very well and has me sitting second in th e points.
I will also be chescing the durometer of the kit tires vs the pre mounted replacements vs the donuts later this week. Will post the results when completed.
