Is everyone just waiting for the 104 or have you all slit your wrists?

Regarding F104. Not sure what to do because there are so many options for cars today.
  • Upgrade F103 using Japanese Parts
  • HPI F1
  • Tamiya F104

And funding.

More importantly is just racing these cars... you can pick up a used F103 on e-bay for $60, throw in existing electronics and go... A lot of people have them, but few ever race them... Not sure why... it's a mystery...

Street price here in Japan for the HPI chassis is around $125.00
The new Tech Chassis is also around this price,it is also a plastic chassis based car. Both cars are bare bones like a F103RM. Thats the basics on funding for the new stuff. The F104R has a $250.00 list price here in Japan.

Default carpet first time

So I tried carpet for the first time yesterday... the F103 on rubber was amazing... I then put on foams and was blown away with the grip... I then put on Jack The Gripper on the foams and was taken to another world... I now truly understand the meaning of "On Rails" because this thing was On Rails... A part of me loved every second... another part of me wanted the harder to driver, more realistic feeling of my old car... I get a sick satisfaction from a slightly harder to drive car... I guess the beauty of it , is I can have both ...

maybe... I'm pretty happy with my 103 at the moment of course that could all change if I was to be passed by a 104 in the near future
