They did that with the TA-04 as well.

Anyways, here's a little cleaner translation of just the F104 stuff:
The battery has been rotated 90 degrees and is now mounted lengthwise in the chassis.
The front suspension springs are now located under the lower suspension arm.
The lower chassis plate is made from 3.2mm carbon fiber and the upper plate is made from 2.0mm carbon fiber.
The T-bar is made from 1.5mm fiberglass.
The rear axle is also made from carbon fiber.
The TRF center shock absorber is anodized blue as are the aluminum differential halves.
The car is equipped with full ball bearings.
I do. it was the same front end on the Evo10SS. It was challenging but when you hit it right it was dialed.

Yeah, the 414x and 415 were both collaborations between Tamiya and Tech racing. There are a lot of similarities between that car and the F104...

The F104 does not look lipo friendly. It doesn't look Nimh friendly either.

Hey Everybody,

We're having our outdoor season kick-off race May 9th at The Track in Winthrop Harbor,IL. NE illinois (Where IL, WI, and Lake Michigan meet). We are looking to have F1 as part of the race. The TCS race at Trackside was my some of my first racing with the F1 car and we want to try and keep it alive over the summer, not just haul them out for TCS. Its a parking lot race, so we maybe need to work on tires and ride height suggestions a little bit. I've been talking with Rob King about it and I'm going to try and do some testing this week and weekend.

TCS rules. I need to talk with Eric (track owner) about an RPM rule, but the answer is probably no limit. We're trying to get some audience folks interested in the hobby so keep in mind that we would like good, close racing.

It will be a Saturday afternoon race with the mains under the lights.

Here's a link to the race post. I will updating with more details very soon.

Announcing the 1st Annual SPRING FLING @ THE TRACK at Harbor Hobbies

We would love to have a bunch of F1 cars on the grid. PM or drop a reply in the thread or here if you have any questions.

THANKS!

michael.

Hey fellow F103 racers,

I updated the thread for our May 9th night ashpalt race in Winthrop Harbor, IL with times, class rules, etc. We would really like to get a strong F1 showing. If anyone can make it that would be really cool.

thanks!

I need help getting more steering out of my F103...
My car under-steers ( pushes ) through a turn...
I added toe out up front and that helped a little...
I tried adding weight up front but it didn't seem to help....
I also tried softer springs up front, but again maybe only helped a little ??? to small of a difference to really tell....
Is there anything else I can do ?

Is the chassis level front to rear? Which shock mount- bridge or the post? Which model car? Tires? Surface?

Questions?? F103gt oversteer on HPI rubber slicks

Where can I get more chassis set-up tips for my F103gt. On the street my car has extreme donut oversteer. Do I need cut down foams? Chassis is not level, rear floating spring nut is at 4 mm. I did lower the front spindles by putting factory spacers on top of hub carriers. TIA guys.

Default Rubber tire question!!!

Hey Guys....

Do the KRG(Rc mart) pre-mounted F-1 tires/wheels bolt right on the F103rm...and if they do....what happens with the in-wheel diff??

If they don't work....any help on part numbers for rims and tires that would be good on ozite carpet, would be a great help!!!

Thanks,

Roy
