The FRP or graphite top plates shouldn't be that hard to find. Any Tamiya dealer can order one for you. Tower has them.

TFR -- I just did a search on Tower using "Tamiya F1" and found the graphite upper deck.

coolrcdad

Part# 53147 is just a graphite hop-up of the stock top plate. The one TFR is looking for is the longer top plate that extends all the way out to the servo. I don't believe Tower carries that top plate.

If you strike out trying to find that top plate, you might look at part# 53168. It's a hard graphite F-type chassis plate. I just got mine today. Sweet! No need for the top plate with this guy.

The TRF car comes with the LM chassis, so the F1 bodies don't fit it. I plan to run the TRF car as my primary and make my hopped up RS my backup car, so I got the F type chassis.

I installed the F-type graphite chassis on my TRF car last night. It is a huge improvement over the stock chassis (yeah, I know, big surprise.) With this chassis, there is no need for the long, top deck. The best news of all, is that it makes it really easy to mount the transponder between the servo and the electronics!

MY car's(F103RS) hop ups are;
1. Adjustable gear case
2. Aluminium motor mount(dont like the purple colour, and i want to TRF version, the black one)
3. 0.4 Spur gear(93T)
oh...that's it...

I guess i haven't got much on the car yet...
I'm using a F1 body now too...it handles quit well, i m kind of surprise....
