Still, waiting for the local shop to get my Kimbrough spur gear in for my F103rs. I hope they get it in today, so I finally have it ready for the track.

Whats a good pinion to run with a 75 tooth spur. I'll be using a P2K w/RC1700 cells for a 5 minute race with foam tires.

Also, should I go up or down on the pinion if I switch to the rubber tires instead of the foams.

Darkside

I run either a 12T or 13T pinion with a 75T spur and P2K on my car and it's as fast as any car on my track. I think you should have no problem with runtime either, but you might want to run your stopwatch during warmup to be safe. If you're having problems spinning, on throttle, it helps to go up a couple teeth on the pinion, but you may not make runtime. Good luck!

I am still debating wether i should go to TAMIYA or stay here at one of the "local" tracks. (R/C Peer-pressure ).

I will definitely be at TAMIYA Nov10.

Still waiting............. for the LHS to get that 75tooth Kimbrough spur in for my F1. Apparently their distributor isn't getting anything from Kimbrough right now.

If they don't get it soon, I'll just keep the stock gear and get some pinions for it.

Spooky, I'll keep that in mind. I want to give them a chance to get it in. They said they also didn't get some T/E-Maxx gears in from Kimbrough. And you know how serious the LHS take the T/E-Maxx stuff, so I'm sure they'll find out whats going on.

If not I'll just go to the other LHS and pick up a new pinion that will match with the .04 module gear. 64 pitch is almost a dead on match, so that would do. I just want to get the 48 pitch gear since I have plenty of pinions in that pitch.

Darkside

Message me with your mailing address and I'll send you a 75T spurgear. That sux that you've been waiting so long. You're on your own for the ball bearings, though!
