Why do you need a spacer between the front arms and the wing? It should fit snug. If you're looking for a spacer for the front wing and arms from the chassis, Tuning Haus has these spacers in different thicknesses to change ride height and roll center. It should work with the F103 wide arms: TUNING HAUS

Supposedly it added just a bit of caster to the front wheels. Its only one spacer on the front screw.

I'm converting my 103 to 104 wheels and I started thinking {always a dangerous thing}. I got a one piece thrust washer to replace the kit ones, but do these really have a function other than they take up slack behind the wheel?

Are you talking the belville washers, or the thrust bearing? Both are important.

The belville (cone) washers are a spring pack. They provide some slack in the system. Without those in place, the diff would go from locked to no traction several times a revoltion. They also allow for tuning of how much pressure is on the balls in the diff.

The thrust bearing is important too, as that allows the wheel to spin independent of the axle nut. If the bearing wasn't there, the nut would bear on the wheel hub, and provide a locking force for the diff, but one who's locking curve is the oppisite of what we want. Also, any diff action would try to turn the wheel nut.

Got it, when using 104 wheels the thrust washer pack goes on the outside of the wheel correct. I read a post about it but can't remember where it was.

If you are using the f103 diff parts, then yes.

I am, it becomes obvious when you lay out the parts. Thanks!

Is there any difference in length between the king pins for a 103 and a 104? I'm converting my 103 to 104 front suspension and the new king pins look a little short, unfortunately I don't have the old 103 pins for comparison.
thanks in advance!

The F104 kingpins are significantly longer.

Thought so, I must have been sent the wrong king pins.

Yes, the stainless ones are hard to find, I ordered the titanium set.

Yes! Diff settings dont change when you take a wheel off. Needs a shorter axle but I cut down a couple extra F103 axles to fit.

What Tamiya part numbers do you need to make the swap? I already have a carbon fiber rear axle so it shouldn't be a problem to cut it down.
