I will be running my oldskool F103 at TITC next month, (wish me luck )
http://www.titc.in.th/titc/
most other guys are running F104 and FGX's so I thought I will see what the old girl can do, (plus the F103 still seems to kick the F104/FGX on local tracks anyway)
as this has a 20min final which requires one pitstop and tyre change the standard F103 Diff will not be very suitable (it may fall apart and need to be re-tightened correctly etc etc)
I heard the F104 diff may be the solution, can I get this verified as well as what partnumbers would be needed to swap them over,
I am guessing just the diff housing set? or is there anything else?

Use the complete rear axle from the F104PRO.
Swap the ballbearing in the diffhousing for your F103 trustbearing and mount the springwashers like this )(
It will result in a very smooth diff(if you have ceramic balls in it and sanded the diffrings down offcourse )
I use that also on my F103.
Have run the car for a whole season without maintenance and still runs smooth.

Problem is that more and more official races are dominated by rules using the 180MM cars.
You can try to convert the F103 to 180MM but that would take out it's charm and handling.
They need to do so as in the states.
Run a 180MM and 200MM F1 class.
This will sort all rules out so everybody has fun.
I still drive the F103 with great plessure and also converted a F104Pro to 200MM.
The F104 is a lot more fun at 200MM
