Yes. You will need to lower the ride height as the 104 tyre diameter is greater than diameter for 103 tyre/rim.

No on the first one,yes on the second one.
Get the F104 rear pod, because you can get a bit lower with that one.
At the front you need to dremel some of the steering blocks and raise them in the suspension arms to get the car lowered at the front.

If you bolt 104 rims onto the 103, the front end will remain 200mm wide as the front end assembly is wider but the front wheel width is the same.
The F104 front end will bolt right onto the F103 chassis and is a common practice to acheive a 180mm width car. The rear end will reduce to 180mm due to the overall width of the rear tires.

My F104 F60 Ferrari kit uses the same rear axle configuration as the F103 so the width is the same, only the wheels/tires are different.
The rear pod from the 104 as mentioned a couple posts back will allow you to get a lower ride height as the axle sits higher in the sideframe.

Looks more like a PF body or the Tyrrell with Ferrarri decals to let it look like the 412T2

Hey Roy and TonyK

Thanks for your comments. Yes this is Jean Alesi Ferrari 412 V12 (the last Ferrari V12).
I did this car to commemorate his only F1 victory in the Canedian GP where at "Schumi" gave him a lift on the air intake of his F1 to the podium, for Alesi had run out of gas in his celebration lap.

Body: Tamiya C body set.
Decals: D Drive / F1 90's set.

Cheers!

Just picked up an old 103Rx, completely stock. Any recommendations on a proper oil shock for it? Not looking to dump a ton of money into it but this looks to be an important step.

How is the 3 racing shock? I can't find the TRF shock and the shock with the kit doesn't look to good.

The Yeah Racing Aluminium shock is great value because you get two for the price of one, it's just as good quality as the TRF and it's BLACK! not blue which makes it infinitely cooler.

hey guys don't want to Hijack the thread, but we are busy building up the F1 Class up here in the NW and at Timezone II. we have started bringing in tires and such, but kind of messed up on some of the type we need. we have quite a few Ride Grooved Tires for the F103 and free shipping through Christmas

Hy there!

First of all, a merry Christmas to all from Austria!

I have a question regarding the ZEN Foam tires

There are Front 35 and 30, and Rear 35, 30, and 25 shore available.
Aditional there are also these two available: Front HI Rubber Tires, and Rear HI Rubber Tires.

Can anybody explain wich shore they have or for wich conditions wich shores are usefull?

Greetings Rainer
