I have used a digital scale to measure the tweak. You need at least 2 scales. 4 would be perfect. Make sure they are on an even platform, reset the scales to zero and just place your car.

You can see the weight distribution there. Adjust the collar on the shock to achieve the best possible even weight distribution. It's hard to get perfect, but at least you are getting the best. Sorry I don't have the picts with me. Perhaps you can visit team IRS.

the thing is is that i don't have spring collers on the 1/12 scale like there is on a tc3 or 10 scale with threaded shocks. so i guess i need to use 4 scales on a flat surface for tweeking instead of just 2.

I have 4 scales for tweaking. You need to make sure the surface you set them on is level. For 12th scale I pretty much only use two of them under the back axle. To adjust the tweak out you need to move the side springs up or down, just make sure there is no preload on the springs and that they are just barely touching the metal ball. If one of your front suspension springs is smashed down more then the other it will affect the tweak also. You need to keep the front two sides the same.
