brushless mix and match?

hey im curious can i run a novak motor with a lrp sphere tc spec speed control? does the sensor lead just plug into th speedie as it would a gtb?
also can an orion motor be used with a lrp system?
cheers

From what I have read, the novak does work with the LRP

I am to going to be using the LRP TC edition brushless speed control in my 12th scale and sedan. Just have to take off teh fan in the 12th scale i hear.

Not sure about the orion.

I will also be swapping them into my CR Buggy and CR Truck when certain indoor offroad races come up.

Syndrome seems to be up to date on this, he will post prolly

Haha, I guess I have to now!

Yea, they all work together. The Orion, Novak and LRP motors will work with the Novak and LRP ESC's. They all use the same connector.

GM's motors (which are rebranded Feiago motors, like the Orions) have a different kind of connector that seems to be specific to the GM ESC. There are adapters, though. I can't see any reason to seek out GM's motors since other people are making essentially the same thing.

There's basically three people making sensored motors right now: Novak, LRP and Feiago (SpeedPassion, Orion, GM, etc.)

We've seen pictures of a brushless ESC and motors from what appears to be Spektrum, so we'll see how that pans out, and whether or not they're making their own or rebranding something else.

ran a GTB with an Orion motor
a friend ran a LRP TC with a Novak motor
and another friend ran the LRP TC with an Orion motor

yep... they all work together fine. :)
