Hi Martin,

I'm thinking on testing a 9T delta. What do you think about the diferences for 5.5T star? Could i use the same setings as for 5.5T?

Thanks in advance.

5.5 gives a more linear throttle response

does the esc comes with the usb programming set?

Thanks

I have good experience of other ESCs but I admit am biased to GM

Believe me there will be no shortage of power

Very smooth

Overall very reliable and quality feel with metal case

If you are running stock get the 75, its lighter

USB set you must buy separately unfortunately

Ditch the LRP motor. When you get the GM speedo you probably won't want the Sxx either lol.

Tell everyone at your club its no good so they don't get one

Hi,

I've not run my GM75 yet but I've had a SP which I liked fast and easy to set up. I've got a Tekin in another car which is just as fast as the SP but run's alot cooler and pretty easy to set up with the Hotwire.

I've ran a SXX Stock Spec at the weekend and it's slow, to get it fast my motor ran hot (X12) so pulled it all out and I'll sell both and will be putting the GM in this car. The LRP's are esy to set up but there definatley not as fast as the Tekin's, GM's etc.

You need to buy the usb seperatley for the GM.

HTH.

@ Martin,

One other thing

I've installed V13 firmware, do I need to set it to mode 9 or leave it as it is and just set your settings you posted a few pages back ?

I'm assuming that when setting the Mode it is also how it calibrates your radio, full throttle, neutral and brake ?

Do you know from where I could get the GM75 and usb set? Does the esc comes updated with the latest version? And is it easy to set the speedo? This is going to be the first speedo which can be updated with usb so I am kinda new to all of this.

Thanks

You will have to learn the speedo, its not too difficult, read the 'how to' elsewhere on this thread

get a 5.5T that's by far more than you could ever use up.

Atsushi used a 5.5T most of the ETS race in Heemsteede as he found the 4.5 to actually have too much power!
The 5.5 still did 112km/h!!!!

The wind does not really matter anymore with the new speedo as you can get any motor up to a proper speed.

Graupner 10.5 did 104, Graupner 13.5 did 96 (in my car when i tested!)

So get a motor that is easy to drive and that is the 5.5T GM motor.

Use the graupner motors only if there is a winding limitation and when it's legal
thanks for the suggestion Martin, yes I have a 7 delta and its a lot of power...too much, does a 6 delta with 6.6 volt battery keep with the 5.5 motor? which speed is attained with 17.5 for you experience?

Hi,

I've got my GM75 and GM13.5t in my T3 now running 5.0fdr for outdoors.

What mode should I be setting it too ?

I've set my 'Amp Limit to 80A'

What is 'Reserved 4=1' and 'Reserved 4=3' ? I've set 10000rpm but can't find or don't know what 'Reserved' means ?

I've set 'Fixed Timing too 24' and 'Max timing too 25' is that correct, I left 'Timing with Sensors' at 0 ?

The only other thing I've changed is 'Motor Cutt Off Temp too 115'

Anything I've missed ?

Thanks.

Correct!

Just put my file on your speedo and pick the mode that is saved in the file (under mode and transmitter data tab).
I think it was 2 or 3. Basically the mode does not matter. You could have the same profile in any of the 10 modes and it will work. I just ever since used mode 2 and 3 :-)

so put that on the speedo and pick whatever mode is set in the transmitter data tab with your transmitter and then the speedo will save full throttle, neutral and full brake
