Question for Martin,
If I click 'Highspeed Timing from Switching point RPM' and also click 'Variable dependent timing' which one takes over?
If I exit a hairpin onto a straight, and go immediately to full throttle will I get full timing, or will this happen as soon as the switchingpoint is reached?
I prefer the feel of variable dependent timing but I don't want it to come in too early in order to control temps.

If you set the switch point option, then it will wait until that point is hit before and additional timing is added.

Someone can make an outline of how work the timings in the GM?
Of style:
Star --> timing 1.......full thotle add timig 2.....
Of style:

Was thinking about getting the 120, but now thinking that a 90 might do me just as well. I just have a few questions.
Does the software update/programming differ between the two models?
What turn brushless can the 90 handle?
Is the 120 going to give me any extra performance doing 13.5 or 10.5?
So I suppose the big question is, what are the important differences between the two models?

no, the software is the same

Which motor are you planning to run? cause it depends a lot on that
you could also adjust mode 9 at home so it works perfectly with your motor and just set like a pretty high timing
and then just copy it to mode 8 and set a little less
copy into 7 and set a little less
copy into 6 and set a little less and so on and so on
you can switch the modes via your transmitter which is really easy actually and you can adjust your speedo to the track conditions within 30 seconds.
as for 90 vs 120, i think for stock racing the 75 is by far the best speedo as you won't loose any performance up to 10.5T but get a lot! of room as the 75 is I think the smallest speedo out there.
as or speedo timing:
the gm speedo does not only do one timing. It can actually do any timing you would ever want it to do
- it can start with full timing right from the start
- it can start with no timing and add extra timing at some rpm
- it can start with 1 timing, then ramp until a second timing
- it can start with no timing and then do 1 timing and then ramp until 2 timing
- it can add timing at full throttle only
- it can add timing according to your throttle stick position, with and without a switch-rpm
- it can do a zero timing mode so it meets all stock class rules if necessary
you see, you can do ANYTHING you'd imagine with that speedo with some clicks
but actually after some testing i found settings that you just use 1 slider for bottom end and 1 slider for top end, and the switchpoint to go with the motor
13.5/17.5 you even only use 1 value to change and nothing else so it's really easy

No, the new software does not even use timing 1 and 2 anymore (but that's been written before)
amplimit is for bottom end (modified mainly, something between 140 and 180A is where you want to be) and fixed timing is for topend (for modified again between 5 and 12)

Well I got the genius 90 and 13.5 motor and ran it on sunday, wow!
It was geared at 8.2 with standard mode 9 after some advice from a guy who has been running gm a while there and it was super fast!
One little thing though, does the speedo turn down the timing if it sees the moor is getting too hot? I ask because I did lose some punch towards the end of each race, but it was still very fast, so only a slight loss of performance.
I guess once I get the usb link I can set it all up properly, perhaps a slight decrease in timing would mean more consistent power throughout the run?

Which motor did you use?
8.2 is really wrong ... the gm can produce the revs to make it fast but you motor will be happier with a harder gearing (I'd guess 5.8 on that track you race on!)
you will get more bottom end rip and more straight line speed! even though it sounds weird

Right I see. It is the GM 13.5 with the 12.3 rotor that I am using.
So going down to around 6 is going to be faster, but what about the temps? As I said before it was definitely slowing a bit towards the end of the run, is that because of the heat? And then does the speedo turn down the timing because of the heat?
