I got it used, I think it only has 4 modes as that is all I seem to be able to access. Does that mean that it needs an update?

My instructions only cover getting up to mode 4, how do you get to the higher modes? Is it just a case of moving the throttle more times?

How should I set the timing on a GM 7t Delta motor with a Nosram ISTC speedo?

Timing has to be set as following:

the "B" marking has to be inline with the middle of the "C" soldertab or even turned slightly more clockwise ...

Martin,

your advise above is to run 1/12, 10.5 with 4 cells without caps.
Is it so because of
-1/12
-4 cells or
-10,5T ?

I just got a new shrink wrap version of Genius 95 to put in my 1/12 with 4 cells and a Speed Passion 5,5T.

Is your recommendation "no caps" here too?

Another question, which GM motor is used by the top 1/12 guys in Mod?

I was running 17 pinion with 5.5 evo3 offroad with lipo

Now I have a pro 9 and 7.
What pinion should I put?

Is there a general rule from old GM evo 3 to the pro serie?
for 4WD 1:12 1:14 mean that the final ratio should be between 12 and 14?
Some drivers had thermal issues today and put their evo3 back in the car.

gear ratios are always 1:x so yes gearing should be between 12.x and 14.x

as for your gearing request ... I cannot make any use of the information that you use a 17T pinion ....
if you give me a fdr I might be able to help

It s to use on a yokomo MR4BX. spur 87 internal 2.2
It would be a 15 pinion?

In general with the GM pro you need to lower in pinion than with the evo 3.

5.5T star equals a 9T delta ... gearing therefore is similar

with 8T you of course have to gear it shorter ... as it's more powerfull

when changing from you can calculate what deltawind your star wind motor is equal to
in your case 9T

so you take your gearing (from nowon called X)

x divided by the wind you WANT! to run (for example 8T) multiplied with the wind you USED!

means (X/8)*9= new gearing for the 8T

With 9T delta with LipoI tried
10.98 final ratio the - on the battery unsolder after 2mn
13.26 final ratio same thing after 4mn.

What is the problem when the cable to the battery unsolder?
