Seems like battery NOT CONNECTED to the ESC.

Try connect batt first and download data

M... you do not need to connect the bat for receiving and sending. ESC is powered bij USB.

In fact I have seen when battery is connected, it won't transfer data at all. Jordan, that was a proper odd issue, neither me, CK or CG had any ideas - one for Martin me thinks.

Check your PC settings, your USB must have "Powering support" ON
If its off, it will not power the ESC.

Could be that if the USB can not provide enough energy, you need to connect the bat. We never had this problem and read and write without bat.

My point was that everything works when you don't connect a pack/cells, but, if you have pack/cells connected then I have seen it fail - although mine seems fine with this!!

That isn't connected to the issue that Jordan asked about though.

have you updated your pc software/ usb driver recently?

it's absolutely necessary to keep it up to date

check your sensorport on the speedo if there is a pin bent! (you need to have a really close look :-) )

the battery should not be connected to the speedo at all when setting up the speedo!
the ubs powers the speedo and nothing else...

for lipo modified just use regular mode 2/3 sensorless with factory settings

I have read some other issues with brakes on other forums... In general I can only say, dont use brakes (12th scale)

We will do some tests this evening and will let you all know what to do.

Brake issues are 99% of times Tx setup issues. Please make sure your transmitter values (advanced settings) are as close to 1,9/1,4/1,1 (fullthrottle/neutral/full brake) as possible!

If they are not you are doing the tx setup/mode picking process the wrong way
