Motor : Set tempcut to

X12 : 130
Graupner Motors: 125
Corally Motors: 125
GM Motors: 115

But to be fair, the X12 is not really competetive

I know of 9 setups straight away that or built in as the different modes. I believe these are more than just progressively heavier/aggressive setups like other speedo's but are actual profiles Martin(GM) has developed. Only other place i know is HERE

The standard profiles are ofcourse a little on the save side to make sure noone can damage the speedo or the motor when running those

My profiles are a little closer to the edge. But in general the basic programs are really good out of the box

If you need any setup help feel free to ask rather than just copying anyones profile as in these cases mistakes happen most of the time which make your system run inefficient or even make it fail

most occuring error I've seen: copying someones profile and forgetting that that profile features the TX data of the person you copied it from -> neutralpoint is off, full throttle is off, full brake is off -> not happy handling!

Thx for your quick answer !!

I understand what you mean.

By "standard profiles" do you refer to the power curves ?

When you tune your speeddo do you use these power curves ( 1 to 16) or do you tune directly timing1, timing 2 etc...

Hi guys, thinking of getting a Genius 120. Just a couple of things.

What extra do I need to be able to program it on my PC?

Also how competitive are the standard profiles? Am I going to get totally destroyed? I ask as to begin with I won't be able to program it at the track.

Cheers for your help.

I suspect when Martin talks of std profiles, he means programs/modes 1-9 that you select with your transmitter.

housey - mode 9 should be a decent starting point for stock classes, although i haven't tried them personally as i haven't run stock! but that is the intention i believe.

Had my first race meeting with the controller a couple of weeks ago and got my first TQ and A1 with it on profile 9 in 13.5t, so it is very competitive.

I have run an SPX stock spec and have driven a SXX stock spec and it is faster but a lot smoother, which seems to let you feel that limit of speed Vs corner grip that the others are lacking. There is still a lot more to get out of the controller but mode 9 in stock class is 90% of the way there for me.

It worth noting that in the back of the instructions (you'll know what i mean when you read them) there is a way of changing up to 30 different settings just with beeps, flashing lights and button pushing. Not all of those settings are working in the latest update and personally i wouldn't attempt in encase of changing the wrong thing and getting lost.

Extras you need for pc is software and USB adaptor , Or just search GM7168.6 Genius USB Interface Cable.

that would be the reserved without a number added to it.
the one where you can select the timing modes.
in software 1.3.6 it is under the frequency selection.
