Orion! Both the 3200 and the 4800 are great packs. The 3200 will still last a really long time.

Sashi,

locally, only a few lipo brands have touched our soil. and only the Peak (same as Orion, made by Kokam) has the hardcase so far.

But if you need to know, look for a hard case and at least a 20C discharge rate.

I think its pretty important to make sure you get Lipos with discharge rate that is enough for the current draw of your motor/ESC (Continuous and Burst).

Top two:

Kokam (they make the packs for Orion, Peak Racing...)

Flight Power (if it is good enough to propel a car over 160mph, it has to be good!!)

Thanks sir... But the problem is I don't know if the esc that I have right now, which is the GTB that came with a 3.5R BL motor can used for lipos...

Hey guys, just keep going which is a better brand, I'll see who says the many brand here and that for me will base it that that's the best brand so far...

I haven't had any experience with LiPo yet, but when and if I make the switch, it will 100% be a LiPo that has a hard case, period...

Orion Kokam have been the most proactive, and transparent. And in educating the care and safety of lipos in general. We were all lucky to have an introduction to lipos like what Mr. Black has taught us. Any one who would deny that Orion Kokams are the best is going to play hell trying to prove it at this point. But they will all claim to a higher quality. The future will weed out the bad ones. Whens that last time you saw a Sanyo at the track.?
In performance I can speak only of Max Amps and Orion. So far they have both been flawless in performance, but the wires dangling are not holding up very well on the Max Amps. They really need a plug system Like the Orions, even if theres no case. Or better insulate the wire where it comes out of the shrink wrap. I see a dead short out coming, if you don't really keep a close eye on it.
Now with all that said. With all the mah's I can get from Max Amps I'm willing to deal with it same as cutting the burrs of parts from a new kit.

Now if these new Velocity Packs Have a fuse able link like Orions. I would say these are very close to the best out there. Just for the design alone.
But if they perform like a Sanyo they will not be around any longer than it takes for a about 100 bad hits on RC/Tech. In part if any lipo is really a problematic battery, it wont last as long as any Sanyo pack did.

Now thats just one persons opinion base on ones own experience.
And one more thing. WE NEED TO QUIT BASHING ANY AND ALL LIPOS FOR ONE REASON OR THE OTHER TILL THERES A REASON TO DO SO. WE CAN NOT PREVENT AN ACCIDENT, WE CAN ONLY BE AWARE OF ITS POTENTIAL.
