motor, esc and battery temp
i just bought a temp gun and wondering what are the maximum temperatures that i should watch out for in my esc, motor and battery in celcius and/or f. thanks....

Hi diozxlive... If you can't find the maximum temp for your esc, motor or battery from the manufacturers spec's. Try to list the equipment that you have and you might get some answers from the people that have already experience using them. Somebody might have a safe limit for the temperatures so the equipments will continue to perform to its capacity. Cheers

thanks guys... i got 27turn fantom motor, futaba mc330 esc and IB 4200 side by side batteries... got the temp sensor but just don't know what max temp to watch for before i burn something...thanks...

Stock motors can go up to 210F. At 230F they start to smell burnt and have a short life. There is no need to run them this hot unless the weather is Houston hot. Speed controls can go up to about 180 F. Brushless motors have about this same limit. The Novak brushless will thermal at 180F. They will stand more than this with a sintered armature.
