Top electric Lipo Charger?

Top electric Lipo Charger?
What would you say is the top battery charger for Lipos today? It was recommended to me the Duratrax ICE is the best?

The duratrax ICE isn't the best, but definitely the most versatile for its price. For the ICE to be the best, it would need balancing capabilities. If you want lipos, you need a way to balance them. You can buy the ICE and buy an add on balancer like the Hyperion LBA6S like I use.
The best lipo charger for a good price is probably the balancepro hd from FMA direct. It can charge up to 5S lipos and A123 lipos at 10A, and it balances for just over $100. The only problem though is that this charger does not charge nimh batteries or nicds. I have been doing a lot of research on lipo chargers lately, and if anyone can find a better lipo charger than that, post it!

I mentioned it elsewhere, but the Team Checkpoint TC1030P charger does Lipo, NiMH, NiCD at 10amps (20amps discharge, although none needed for lipo). It slso does motor check & break in and can run a lathe
On the downside, it doesn't balance though, so you'd need to look out for one of those.

Thunder Power TPS-1010C, used with the thunder power balancer. This charger has a port that can "talk" to the balancer, so you can view the data for each cell.
It's expensive, and the instructions suck, but it's the best LiPo charger out there.
And stay away from chargers that will do lipo and nimh. It only takes once charging a lipo in nimh mode to ruin your day.

the supernova competition is a great charger, does nicad, nimh, LIPO,lead acid and a few others, has a temp sensor safety cut off, senses the type of battery so you cant F*ck it up (eg charging a lipo on nimh mode), wont let you charge a lipo at more than 1C, unless you manually override it. dischages at upto 20amps

The thunder power is hardly the best lipo charger, it doesn't even include a balancer and for $200? That is a really high price not to include LI-FEPO4 support (A123).

The way the charger is marketed and sold doesn't affect how good it is at charging lipos.
The 1010C does indeed charge A123, NiMh, NiCD, Pb, and lipo.
Introduced two years ago at $200, it was a steal that revolutionized the lipo charging market. Now there are a few chargers that equal it in the power per dollar range, but none are superior.
Mallanaga, the 535 is definitely nice. I often use it instead of the 1010C that sits beside it because of the ease of use and small size. At $80 you got the TP power supply with it, right? That's definitely a sweet combo.

yeah. power supply to boot. that's what i was looking for. all these chargers, but most require an external power supply. same goes for the 535, but at least there's an option for a small size, easy AC solution.
good to hear that i have a quality product here. when i do get around to using it, i'll definitely have that piece of mind.
also... do i really need the balancer to go with it? signs point to yes... but i don't want to spend the $50 if i don't have to. yeah, i'm cheap. lol. i have 1-2S, and 2-3S batteries. all thunder power. how often should they be balanced?

I use an Integy 16x8v6 and it is great for everything except LiPos. It will charge LiPos but false peaks a lot. You have to restart a few times through the process... The ICE works very well with LiPos and is a better all around charger but of course has less functionality in a lot of areas.
