Im not 100% sure as I didnt ask but looking at them all I could not tell a difference in any of their cars. From what I have heard it was the production kits.

I think Xray should stop making new electric car every year and start thinking about a new Xray 1/8th on road car!! LOL who know may be they might come up with 1/12 scale too. I can't wait to see 1/8th if they will ever make one.

Any how, I still run T2 007 and don't think I'll get 008 yet since I just bought NT1 just b4 the summer end. Boy... I hope they don't come up with a new NT1'008 or 009 or NT2 ... LOL...

See IIC report on the team xray website: IIC Report.

The entire factory team raced with the brand new T2'008, having only received the final production kit at the race event.

I'm looking forward to having a real close look at the car and manual.

Default diffs

Whats the go with the diffs?
Looks like the factory guys are running the older outdrives.
When we get the new kits how do we adapt the older outdrives.
I heard the new ones in mod are braking ? Whats the story.

has anyone noticed that the top deck looks to be higher than the T2 007. it looks like 1-2 mm's higher. if so i wonder if this is for the lipo's, and i wonder if the motor is more centered so the brushless would be more centered.

It probably is a few mm's higher. I'm thinking that raising the top-deck up from the low '007 height probably didn't affect the handling any, and provided room for LiPo at the same time.

Not sure that moving that motor inwards had anything to do with Brushless, probably more with LiPo batt's being lighter, and just trying to achieve a better balance overall, less weight needed. When the motor is moved further inwards, you would need less weight to counter balance. I would be that with 4200's NiMh batt's, the balance it just about perfect.

The '008 just came out, where are you hearing this?

Anyway, with modified Brushless motors, just about everyone's outdrives are getting beat up. The blades or diff outdrives aren't standing up too well to the extra torque of Brushless power.

Does this mean that the new outdrives w/out the plastic clips can't stand the power of brushless motors? unlike the old outdrives with clips?

I know xray will improve these parts
