Gearing a tc3 with 13.5 brushless
I was just wondering how people were gearing a tc3, in my pan car I was using a really small spur and a large pionon. I was wonder in a touring car is also geared this way.

If you have the "pro" version with the sintered rotor, you'll have to put some pretty aggressive gearing on there...we usually tell guys to start with an FDR around 5.0.
On the tc3, you might have to grind the motor mount some to be able to fit a big enough pinion gear! |

We usually gear at a 4.5-4.7 final drive.

Thats sally gearing I went to a 4.2 and the car came alive. Running this type of gearing is somewhat tricky, alot of it depends on how well your car is working.
If your setup is way off run a 4.7 or higher but when you nail a setup 4.2 is great and comes of at about 150-170 degrees. |
so if I am around a five I should be in the ball park:confused:

Roughly yes, And that is a 88 44 combo and you will want a selection from 44-50 if you can fit them on there

what is the stock pitch on a TC3 ?
|
48 pitch, simple gear change can make it 64
