What to do with new batteries??

Ive just boight 2 Sanyo 3000H NI-MH saddle packs for stock racing, and would like to know what i do to them b4 i give them their first charge.

Then what rate do i charge them at when slow charging and what rate when fast charging.

Plus when do i dishcharge them.

My cahrger does 0.5, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 5.5.

THanks

Just charge them at 4-5 amps and only discharge them to 5.4volts the night before you race. Otherwise, they don't need to be discharged. And never leave them empty. Heat and left empty is the only bad things for them. I run mine hard. I'll run the same pack all race day and they get better as the day goes by. Just let them cool before you charge.

Charge them at 5 amps .

Yep, simply just charge them at usual rate right before racing them.

I'm running stock class exclusively, so personally, I prefer charging at 6,5 amps, any lower means less punch. But if you're having trouble with runtime, charge at a little lower rate.

And I reccommend following he advises about discharging to 5,4 volt minimum and dont charge them while warm. And do store them with a little charge on them.

Ok kool, so i charge them just b4 i race.

And i discharge them when??? After each race or after the race day has finished.

Thanks for your help

I discharge mine after each race.
