Do you know anywhere that the bottom shell you have can still be purchased?

As for the Tamiya Ta01/02 - You can order the Tamiya Hummer.

I have a TT-01 rally with Ford Focus body. I bought it to drift. But if there was a rally course around here I would take it and race it there.

I run an MTroniks Brushless ESC which is water proof, would just need to water proof my RX & servo & connections.

When you mean banned do you mean for racing or EU as a whole? It's like a regular model shell. A lot of Tamiya kits are like that for the scale & realism. I personally want to get one of these for my youngest son. He would love it.

With the car being all stock except bearings and shocks - It binds the plastic shaft. Waiting for it to snap one day. Definately need to get an alloy shaft and would like to upgrade to metal gears.

I bought it to drift and don't need all that power so most likely will down grade to my old Novak brushless setup.

In our club, we run only mabuchi/johnson 540 stock motors and sub c cells only. No brushless or lipo equipment here. Its fun and affordable at the same time.

i've done a tc3 with the rally conversion, anyone else done this car? and if so what kind of mods did you do to protect the spinning, meshing and otherwise sensitive to dirt parts? i also have a ta/04 chassis i'd like to convert to rally.

Oh, very nice pictures guys!

was trying raise my TT-01 the other day, and found that I could just construct a plastic sheet so that it screwed where the screws went, and could make another hole so the top part of the shock was lowered.

How else have you guys raised chassis' so that they have enough clearance? Also, how much clearance do you really need to rally race? Are there any specific tires or mods to tires that work well?

Thanks if you are able to answer questions!

My friends who use TTO1 in the rally race use DF03 front tires and rim all around to raise the ride height. And that tires really has some serious bite for general use. Some of them use the molded inserts that came with the tires, some dont use it at all.

For TC3 rally conversion, just try to make a custom cover for your electronics. A friend of mine who race with a TC3 rally conversion did this and he have a very good result.

Have a good Rally day!
