Joel had similar luck and broke on both his fast runs. Craig was in a fairly bad heat and didnt go there for testing before. I think all three of us had the chance to atleast be in the A without all the bad luck.
Ok, Juho.
Thanks for the info. Fair enough.

Thanks for the show on wet weather tires!

Thanks Juho, that explains it. Just a case of very bad luck.

You're right, That was my mistake.... a bad one....

My car was quite good. Already in practise with new tyres I made the weekends best AE laptime and it was looking good...

well hopefully next year we dont have to play with this stupid tyre rule.

Default Bodyshells....

Just looking at some of the pictures of the A main cars in this thread and noticied that the body pins do not hold the shells on tight to the body post/mount - there is a gap between the pin and shell (Especially noticable on Andy Moores car). Presumably this gives some movement, but what is the effect, does it allow the chassis to flex more? Just an observation....

it's not for the flex. It is to avoid your car to crash when you hit the border of the track in the curve (don't know the english word).
When you hit the interior or the curve the body doesn't block in it and the wheel stay in contact with the track. I don't know if you understand what I mean.
It's more accurate on carpet track with roadrail

I suspect most of the pics of the A-main cars were probably taken during the official photo shoot in the morning, not at the start of an actual final race, so the cars might not be exactly the same as in the race. But what do I know, maybe they actually do race them like that...

I usually have some play between the body and the clip myself. This helps keep the car in check when you drive over the kerbs. Since the bodyshell hits the kerb before the tyres do the car will loose traction when the bodyshell is on tight. In fact you might as well do away with dampers...

yes Tony, it's exactly what I would like to say but I was missing some word

These pics have been taken just before the start of the first A-main, so car was in the race configuration

Some European Championship statistics

XRAY - 42 cars
Corally - 24 cars
Schumacher - 22 cars
Hot Bodies - 22 cars
Tamiya - 14 cars
Associated - 8 cars
Yokomo - 7 cars
Serpent - 1 car
Losi - O cars

Nice to see that Schumacher had that many cars at the race.
Now they just have to get a star driver to put that car in the a main at the big races.

yes anders is right, there were two another kyosho car. With Steen there were also a GM racing driver who run a kyosho and one other guy in the team orion stand that I don't know. Only Steen was running the Shin edition version. The car seems great but he missed his fast qualifying.
