Default A PiggyBack for the Return of the PanCar thread...WHERE ARE YOU?

With over 1/2 dozen pages dedicated to the 'Return of the Pan Car' I'm curious...WHERE are you people?

It would be nice to know if there is one region or another with more support of this idea...(demographics)

I'm in CALIF. 3 hours NORTH of L.A.

I promote/direct OVAL racing in Southern and Central Calif...and have done a couple On-Road PANCAR races over the years as well.

Let's see where everyone else is from - to see whether there are enough guys in a single area that a race guy could make a class work and invite you out. (Maybe Charlie Barnes in Orange County - or BCRaceway in Orange County) both in Southern Calif. or who knows.

Hopefully it will be better than the last time we raced ( Jacks state race in Ocala). This time it will be with my Bolink car(The Scorpion) and not the Corally.Tonight it's work on the shocks and frontend.I'll have to make up some of my special tire traction stuff. It's an old secret recipe handed down my the masters years ago.The other two guys that knew the secret can't tell anyone anymore.

Clemmons, NC. Here in North Carolina oval anything is huge. Whether its carpet, dirt, or parking lot racing. I can go 3 hours in any direction and hit more than 5 big tracks that have a big turn out in racers every weekend.

Long Island, NY. I am just waiting for a pan car intrest to start here, then I will buy one. I don't want to buy a car, then not race it. I could always buy one and get people intrested in it.

RCSteve

Do what I did to get OVAL racing at our Local Touring/Parking lot races.

I showed up with 6 cars of my own...and loaned 5 of them to other drivers (Guys who KNEW how to drive TC's) and got THEM hooked w/ loaner cars.

Sold a couple of them cars...the rest bought their own~

Watch EBAY for old WIDE 10L's CHEAP - get 3 or 4 put together with OLD equipment and EQUAL motors and batteries...(even FIX the gear ratio so they'll be really close) and bring them out - and make the challenge.

Steve, I guess you've never been down there when I come down with mine...

BTW.. It's not always your normal AWD TC under my Stratus Body shell...

I'm on Long Island and I have a few, I know there are some more out there... A few years back myself and another guy were running L3T's in TC...

My biggest problem is keeping saddle packs specifically for the Pan Cars... They don't fit well in my battery case an my other cars don't seem to like when I use them...

I'm thinking about just getting a Maxamps LiPo and leaving it in the car at all times...

The track Steve and I run on is WAY too narrow for the wide cars... L3T's and pantoura's only...

Im in Pingree Grove Illinois 50 miles west of chicago, and 50 miles south of Madison Wisconsin.

Just purchased an 10L3O that came with a spare slider chassis, so it looks as if I may build two cars, one oval and one road course. I plan to run the L3O with the TC's in a parking lot this weekend

Honolulu Hawaii

1/12th pan is growing again out here and 1/10th looks like it may make a start with an F103GT class soon.
