I got mine...

Thanks to JDXray for pointing me at a great deal, turned out the seller was a buddy of mine from a few years ago...

Built the car Firday nite at South Shore, didn't get to run it yet.

I used the Old Skool front end on mine, I REALLY like that front end a LOT.

.020 front springs, kit stock tweak springs, Black shock spring from my Rev3 (a bit heavier than any of the three kit springs) 30 wt in the shock. Ride height 3.5 front and rear, about 1mm droop in the pod, pod and chassis level at ride height.

This Sunday is the last indoor Sunday carpet race of the season at South Shore. I'm going to be there hoping for a turnout in 1/12 scale. Next week I'll run Willis on Sunday.

JD, any chance of you making it out to South Shore this Sunday?

David

Hey man looking sweet, no not this sunday i cant. I got soccer a lot, but i wish i could go. My brother usually goes on those trophy days, you might see hime there. (Jumbo)

Where the lowered pods at?!?! lol

Let me know how that old school front end works, and keep this in mind about that kit.
-The rear pod tends to unscrew itself increasing ALOT of play side to side, and that wont help you at all, youll just slip out. So i think thread lock those rear pod screws would be a good idea.
-Keep an eye on the frontend piece where the body posts are. A couple good hits will break that like my brothers did. I am still looking into getting Jason at BMI to milled me a chassis and if others want too.
-The Hara center springs they give you are pretty good as well, let me know how the one you use goes.

Other than that goodluck on sunday, too bad i cant make it out there. Let me know how the beast runs

Jon

PS: I think over the summer on friday nights you might catch me. But most llikely next year i will be going to SSH alittle more, i hear its crazy.

PS2: Willis Trophy race Sunday Mini T, and after is just regular Club Race. ANd about next week i dont know what there oding.. I heard maybe ANOTHER 12th ENDURO.... Meaning defending our title (ALBERTOOO)

I have a feeling I'll be at Willis the following Sunday... Unless the weather is nice for flying.

No lowerdd pod plates on my car because I haven't found a set yet that run as free as the stock asso parts. Maybe niftech ones would, but I haven't had a chance to try them.

I've tried the IRS lowered pods, and they didn't run freely at all for me. I think they're too tight around the rear axle bearing hiolders. I worked on them for a while filing the openings but I never got them to glide like the stock setup.

I remember hearing that IRS makes the lowered pods for CRC, if that's so then the CRC ones would probably be tight too... but I haven't tried them.

Anyone know of a site that sells the conversion less than 115 because I broke mine and would like to get another.

Thanks

I ran mine yesterday with Yokomo 4M 11x2 motor, gear at 29/100T.

I like this converted kit way better than my old 12L3

Has anyone tried the damper tubes or a 3 shock setup on this car yet?

ernestf that's one nice looking ride. What kind of bumper is that? Does it fit snug under the body?

JDXray,

You may want to try 16 gauge wires. I've already converted to 16 gauge and it makes a big difference.

It's one sweet ride. It turns really good on carpet in stock class. I'm itching to go faster though with 19t on asphalt. I'll let you guys know how it runs under the sun.
