Hey there Jason, I'm sure you have been asked this question but I am just courious about one thing. I have my 1/12 working amazing right now with the regular rr flex plates. However, I am looking to go to the new carbon plates and really don't want the car to change on the handling end. What can I expect from these new plates as far as flex compared to the old ones? also if I am using the regular plates now will I use the regular plates when I switch? Thanks and I really appreciate the coustomer service you provide.

So is their performance similar to the thin ones or thick ones? I went back to the thick L plates on my car because it leveled out the pod better and the car handles as well with them as it does with the thin ones on my track.

Great. So I will just pick up a set of each and use the thin plates in place of the regular ones I am using now. Are you and your guys using the set screws with the thin plates or just using the long holes? Thanks again.

Hi all- new to the 12rr-and 1/12.I have the lipo vers.What is the difference between the long and short mounting position on the flex plates.And is there an online tuning guide for the BMI. Thanks in advance.

We've been testing in the UK for some time - when I say testing, it took us one run to know they were better, and they've been on the car ever since!!
The problem we highlighted was that the car doesn't centre well off the turn. It tended to hold a line, meaning you had to stay out of the throttle for longer waiting for it to straighten up. Clue came when I put some springs (AE 0.020") under the flex plates (by locating them using the tweak screws) and tried that - instant traction, and easy to apply the throttle early. The springs helped to return the pod to centre faster and more accurately. I then made some carbon plates, but screwed up on the thickness! Jason, as usual, came to our rescue.
The thin CF flex plates work well in Mod and 10.5. No tweak screws needed. We run them in the long position (I run an R drilled for RR flex plates and with the shock set back 6mm, and team-mate Jason runs an RR) and never change them. I run LiPo, Jason runs 4-cell - they work for both. Not only are these plates soft enough for traction, they return to centre more accurately.
We run GT and Duo carpet with different additive (Speedtech) to you guys, but the effect seems to be the same as Showtime has experienced - the car is just more precise.
IMHO fit the thin CF plates in the long position and use them - no need to fiddle with other settings any more. HTH

Someone did try the new flexplates in the 1/10th car already?

I've been running the front hole with the standoff's reversed. Seemed to center a little better. Maintain this mounting with the new graphite pieces or swap back?

Hello all I hope I didn't make a mistake in ordering the incorrect flex plates.. Are the rr plates versus the r flexplates different? I have an R and ordered some flexplates last night..
Second question is what gauge wire should I use to wire my motor and esc?
1s lipo with trinity 17.5 duo and lrp tc spec.. I tend to use 12g in my TC's but had always used 16g with my brushed stock 1/12 scale cars.. What should I be using in my 12r?

The RR plates are longer but have holes drilled for the R length as well so they will work with the R.
