For 1/12 all you need is the RS unless you're an absolute madman will run something lower than a 5.5. Although I think the 5.5 turn rating is mostly for sedan racing as the weight of those are are obvioulsy heavier, thus creating more heat, etc.

Hey guys, what side of the car is best to mount the esc on or does it not matter as long as it fits.

you'll want to mount it so the weight in the car balances. Typically it is on the side opposite of the servo but that could also change if you have a big heavy receiver.

Gotta blow the dust off my 12RR soon. Need some setup advice. My local track is laying down brand new carpet this year. Any info will help.

Ok the closest I've been to that situation is when we changed the track layout recently and a section of the infield had'nt been run on ever. It was really slick for the first half of the night but after the practice runs and first couple of heats it begain to build a groove and by the second club night the traction was consistant across the track. We did'nt need to change setups because it was a small area of the track. In your case I'd guess you might want to soften up the setup for the rear pod; mabey change to a softer tire like white; and then gradually restiffen as the traction comes up.

Thanks Mike,

I switched to LiPo in 1/10 scale and love it. Gotta consider building a 12RR LiPo chassis first.

Chris Moore,

Thanks for the info. I was thinking along the same lines. Go back to the old purple front/white rear and see how it goes. That was the fast setup when the track was new several yrs ago.
