Not many things used to tune a 12th car come from TC. The difference is that in a 12th car you have a chassis with a joint in the middle!! Things like roll centres do come across, but after that it doesn't help that much to have tuned a TC.

Imagine that your TC had a big ball joint in the middle of the chassis, so the front and rear axles could move relative to each other - that's a 12th car!! It's not often that we use the tuning tweeks from a TC to tune a 12th car. HTH

Hi Jason,

Can I get DB1020R 2.5mm C/F Lower Pod Plate for the DB12RR?

I couldn't find this on the website.
If I order it in my next order then you include it?

my nitro car had a big bend in the middle of its chassis once

understand there are big differences, which is why I was asking what effect shiming the ball joint has. If it's an RC change it should lower the RC by making the top link - I guess that's the shock in this case - flatter in relation to the bottom, correct

Draw an imaginary line through the center pivot ball on through the upper ball stud that the shock mounts to. Think of that imaginary line like the suspension arm on your TC and that will give you the relative shock angle on the suspension.

When using the new shock, do you still have trim the ball cup?

I have the new shock on my 12RR, no trimming necessary on the ball cups. I actually use the 2nd and 3rd holes from the rear of the chassis to locate the shock mount, and had to turn the ball cups on the shock 2 turns out from bottom to lengthen it.
