The only problem i have encountered with the parmas is breaking rims. That was when getting "tapped" at full clip going into the one high speed corner and it resulted with hitting the wall, not the boards, about 4ft of the ground. Surprisingly the rim was all that broke and the car never tweaked. Lets see you t-bar or link guys do that! lol
Might hafta look into the "update" kit after x-mas.... maybe santa will deliver it with a new brushless motor and controller???
Very cool

My second season running the car. Irrgang, Mike Ivy and Schreff turned me onto it. Very impressive with the rear pod improvement. Keep up the good work.

Great video thanks!

I have the same thing happen with Magenta and Dbl Pink tires which is one of the reasons why I make sure I have 1 set of tires for each run I do. That way I get a chance to re-glue tire edges before the next race which if you don't do is going to give you major chunking.

I haven't tried the new parmas yet but have found that every brand I've tried has eventually had this problem...some just faster then others. The only tires I had which really held up well were the ones I mounted myself. Probably because they were not mass produced I took more time to do the little things that helps the glue hold better. With the cost of pre-mounts now though I don't bother with mounting my own.

hey chris. yes the offset is different. with the parmas you need 3 to 4 gold shims per side to bring you to 172mm. with the new conversion we are only gonna need like 1 shim on the right and 2 or 3 on the left or the other way around. schreff showed me on his car but i forgot

Did Schreff have the new off-set hub on his car? If you'll notice in the pics Jason posted he has his normal 3mm spacers on both sides of the car so at least on that car the spacing should be the same on both sides.

I had 1 gold shim on the RR and 2 gold shims on the LR. The overall rear width on my car is 171.44mm. I need one more thin washer to truly push it to 172mm.

And Hanulec, you just had to show me blow out about 2 minutes in, didn't ya. That first minute was tough dodging traffic with Dave G on my rear bumper. That was a fun main.

So what is everybody running setup wise for carpet? I finally got my car ready to rock, just need to set the car up... Tire wise I'll be running double pink/yellow, any recommendations on where to start out?

Here's what I ran this past weekend at 360 Raceway with the updated car...

-Front-
4 deg caster
5 deg reactive blocks
-1.25 deg camber
.020 BMI spring
.010 spring sag
#3 SureLube on king pins
servo on angled mounts (gonna try flat next time out)
Parma Magenta tires (41.6mm)

-Rear-
Hot Bodies shock w/ Losi 40wt oil and ASC gold spring
ASC shock mount raised with 2mm shims and medium ball stud on shock mount
shock all the way back on chassis
battery full forward
.070 side plates
#4 SureLube in damper tubes
Parma Grey tires (43.6mm)

Use whatever shims/ride height adjusters to get 4mm ride height. I also ran a Parma Speed 8 LW body since I was running 17.5.

don't worry, i have a few of the qualifiers on tape where you were putting down solid runs. at least you didn't eject yourself twice in the main, in the same spot -- i have commitment to my line! maybe worse yet i captured on tape Dave G's electronics falling apart -- i cannot believe his batteries become unsoldered otherwise he had everyone by at least a lap in the main.

also, i just posted you taking down the 13.5T foam A-main. it should be processed by youtube w/in the next hour...
