here is a sneak peak at some of the things i am working on with the car. I will be putting together a kit that will include all of the update parts at the best price i can.

First thing is that i added a hole to the flex plates and lengthened them. The hole is 1/4 inch forward from the existing mounting hole to add an optional flex plate mount that will make the flex plate more linear. The flex plates can be mounted in the stock position like we have now, or in the long position.

Next, I opened the pod up and have a new offset hub to compensate for change in width. This centers the motor and also makes the brushless motors fly in and out of the pod with ease.

I also moved the motor away from the center pivot to take some weight away from that area.

We slotted the servo mount holes in the chassis so now the car will fit any servo you may have.

The shock has also been placed in a new position with more adjustment and also places the upper ballstud inline with the center pivot.

All of these changes are taking an already proven race winning design and pushing further by refining it in every way possible. We took a great thing and made it even better. Enjoy the pics. Remember that this is a prototype and is not ready for release yet. We want to release it before the end of the year.

will the new pod be available as an upgrade kit? I guess the only parts that needs to be changed are: lower pod plate, rear pod brace, right hub?

Is that one of the new pinions you eluded to on the 1/12th forum?

What's with the tape slots?

End of the year? Man it's going to be hard to wait that long

Jason,
What performance did you find with moving the rear shock pivot point?
Thanks,
E

Oh yeah, this is way late but thanks again for the phone help when I was at the IIC. Did you send Lion a replacement lower pod plate? I which I could drive as consistant at big races as I do at home. Wait I did drive consistanly bad.

Pinions, Yes it is. I will have them available shortly. The spurs are coming very soon also. Can you say 45-60 tooth pinions

The tape slots were made like that to make taping the cells in much easier. The tape doesnt stick to everything as you try to put it in place.

Moving the rear shock changes the leverage point. We have found this frees up the rear end of the car.

No problem with helping out buddy. Thats what im hear for.

I sent wes a replacement.

Ok guys. Rough pricing is going to be like this:

Brushless pod conversion will be $39.99

Full conversion w/chassis and new 1 pc. cross brace, flex plates, and brushless pod conversion will be $99.99.

The new flex plates work with the standard chassis. The standard chassis just dont have the optional forward hole.
