Hi Jason,

I saw on your web site that you have lowered pod plates. Are these for the 12th scale car? If so are they different from the plates on the car I bought in Jan-Feb of this year?

Also which of the new springs are you running for a medium to medium-high grip carpet track?

Thanks, Lee

Hey Lee,

The new lowered pod plates are 2mm lower than the standard plates.

I run the .020 linear springs in most conditions. We do sell alot of the .022 and .024 springs. I just usually always run my car on the soft side.

New stuff, new stuff, new stuff...oh yeah bro, looking forward to it. I love this car and new stuff to play with always makes for even more fun. Get well bro and let me know if you want pic's with a body to put up instead of just the chassis. -Dave A.

Some clothes on the car pics would be cool.

I would also like to let you guys know that we are going to start carrying the Parma HD speed 8. I would like to add to that in the very near future so i will keep you posted on here and the website.

Thanks,
Jason

Superb, that's my favorite body! had to paint an ugly Zytec for the first race of this season as the race accepts EFRA legal bodies only Well maybe at least the paintjob will save it (yeah the design is "stolen" from current Nitro TC world champ )

P.S.: Jason, have you checked out the webpage I sent to you?

Jason, we had a strong showing of BMI's today at 360. With a help from Craig Santry I got 3rd place. The majority of the field was DB12R's. I was about to give up on this car, but Craig gave me a dialed set-up... you will be surprised what a copper center spring and grey rears will do to the car... it is magic. Next weekend is a trophy event, so I hope to do well. So far so good. The only thing I noticed was the my car was extremely heavy. I was 903 grams while most other cars were 820-850 grams. I am going to have a look at my car tomorrow and see what I can do. It is dialed either way. Next weekend I am going to try the .20 liner springs and softer flex plates and see what that does. I am also going to try a ULW Parma Speed 8 also. So far the car has been great. Now I am just going to crunch some numbers and figure out the HP end of the business.

We also had a good number of BMI's here in Jonesboro today. In fact BMI's went 1,2,3, today in the main.

Default Finally....

Had some time today & finished up a written set-up.....now remember guys the track I run on is HIGH-BITE INDOOR ASPHALT which is UNSEALED.

*FRONT END*

- .024 springs
- #4 Shurlube (red) on kingpins
- .5-1mm of front droop
- 5* Alum. caster blocks w/ spacers in rear of the blocks
- 1* of Camber
- servo is angled
- 1.65" front tires (Jaco Lilacs or Dbl. pinks)
- 1/3 sauced w/Dbl pinks & 1/2 w/Lilacs
- 4.50mm of ride height

*REAR END*

- Hot Bodies C12 center shock (rebound @ 75%)
- 35 wt. oil
- Gold center spring
- Batteries forward
- .062-.064 side plates
- #3 Shurlube (green) in damper tubes (#4 causes the car to lift in tight 180's)
- Damper tubes in forward holes
- 1.5mm of pod droop (track is bumpy)
- 1.75" rear tires (Jaco Dbl pinks)
- Full sauce
- 4.50mm of ride height

88 Spur/43 Pinion combo w/a Speed Passion 13.5....

Car is balanced so there's NO introduction of tweek. The pod and chassis is level. Been playing with the Speed 8/ 8HD & Protoform Speed 12B.
My fastest laps w/ the 8 & 8HD has been a 9.7 every once and awhile; but yesterday tried the Speed 12B w/the optional rear wing and fastest laps are 9.6-9.7's consistently. I think I'll stick with this body for awhile

Thanks Jason

Hey guys I'm just curious if anyone would have a good set up for stock carpet. or 19 turn. 19 turn would work as our lanes are only 6' wide not 10. (that right only 6 feet, sometimes down to 5) and useally very technical.

I will be running the co-27 based motor for most of the season as I haven't gone brushless yet. the body goinna be teh proto form speed 12.

thanks in advance. i got 2 weeks to get me rear in gear.

Glad to hear it buddy. When traction is high, the copper spring works excellent. Craig is a great guy. Im glad to see that there are people still running the car at 360 being that they are both running for another company and really do need to support that car. Its tough to keep people running the car in that situation. They are both great guys, im just glad to see the 12r's still being supported there.

With no mods or lightening of a car, 903g is actually pretty light compared to what i have seen. I saw a CRC come in at 960 at a local race and a corally come in at 925. I have seen both of those cars come in closer to 800g with some lightening as does ours. My car is weighing in at 850 right now and i am fine with that. I was super light but then the car couldnt take a hit. All of the cars i have seen(every brand) that is close to 800 grams, falls apart in an impact. With the weight of the electronics being so high, making the car that light makes it very weak when removing that much materials or going to lighter, weaker materials. The trade off just isnt worth it to me.
