we don't have high tracktion, but a 17.5 is pretty equal to a co27. so last year the prefered tire at the iic was lilac fronts and yellow rear (jaco) and i believe that it was the same at the birds. we are currently running lilac\grays, but out track is low\med traction capet. i am bringing lilac and black fronts and gray and yellow rear for the iic. I believe most bmi driver are running the jaco because bmi sells jacos and also the axel spacer that bmi sells are set for jaco

for carpet here is what I found:
speed 12: this is my prefered body, it give plenty of steering and also plants the rear end. I don't like a loose rear.
speed 12b: verys similar to the 12 as far as steering, but the rear end would "Float" quite a bit in the corners. some like that feel, I don't
speed 8: This body was just as fast for me as the speed 12. Lap for lap, I was just as consistent and really did not find a lap time difference. The problem for me was that it seamed to plant the rear end too much. the car seam to steer from the rear tires, and I like my cars to steer on their nose. I need to work on the setup on the car a little more and maybe get it to work better with the added rear tracktion of this body. maybe goto a yellow rear from a gray.
Speed 8HD: I have not run this body, i have a couple I need to paint up and try. I suspect based on the name, that it will be too planted for stock.

don't you hate that? before you get to far. he also has spacers for the front arm. that way you don't need to run multiple little shims to get your ride height in the front. the front shims that BMI makes are in 6 different sizes.

And they're OH so nice. Worth twice the price but only sell for $10/size. You'll be up to a $65 order...almost worth shipping. Pick up a couple sets of tires (you KNOW you need 'em, and if you don't one of your mates does) and really get it boosted.

i plan on racing after the summer break, because me and my family are going to europe and croatia, for the summer, and ill have no time to get down there. Maybe ill make it late july early august. I cant wait! Ill take some pictures today maybe.
