Glad to be of service.

I'd never really talked much to Jason, with the exception of this last week or so. We're not so much stocking BMI as we are investing in Jason. He seems like a great guy with a decent, and unique set of products and ideas. And I like that.

Heck, I built a BMI car of my own that I'm slowly dialing in.

If you guys see something in the BMI line that we're not carrying (that you'd like us to), drop us a note.

Kindest regards,
Bob Stormer

There are some cool little additions i am working on. Front springs are 1 of them. I will be testing them out next weekend to see if my theory is correct. If so, This is going to be a huge performance gain at a very small cost.

springs sound good. I have a small question, at first, i installed in the front the larger ride height adjuster, but when i brought it to my hobby shop, the guy and i noticed that one side would have too much play in between the arms when it was pushed, and he saw that the upper front suspension arm was hitting the screw that holds the front down. So he suggested i add another smaller spacer, and its fine now. Im not sure why only the left side of the car was doing that, but now, theres no play, and it works fine. Will this be too much spacing though? If you dont understand, i put the big spacer, and then another one, which is half the size.

If you are using the stock plastic IRS ride height spacers you should be using both of the plastic spacers it comes with. If you use only one the lower arm will be too low and the screw will hit the upper arm. Also your ride height will be way high with only 1 plastic spacer.

Those spacers under the front lower arms are merely for adjusting front ride height. How many or how thick of spacers you use will depend completely on tire size, and how much ride height you want to run. If you are running very small tires and need to remove spacers to achieve the proper ride height you may need to use shorter screws to keep them from hitting the upper arms.

I would recommend picking up a ride height gauge such as this one:
https://www.ssl-stormerhobbies.com/c...s&pn=HUD107715

A ride height gauge is indispensable when it comes to properly setting up a car. Generally setups call for 3.5mm ride height for smooth carpet. I usually run 4.5-5mm to clear our track's tape seams. If I get down lower than 4mm the car starts to bounce over the seams which can easily send the car sailing off the track.

yeah, the only problem was that it was hitting the arm, so theres not much easy adjustment on it, but thanks inspector for letting me know, just want to make sure it wont be too low. I have a question, where do you guys place your esc? i put mine in the space right in front of the batteries, close to the antenna, will that be too close to the batteries for soldering?

If your running small front tires, you may want to sand the front screws down a little or run 1/2" long screws in the front of the arms. This will make sure they dont hit the upper arm.

I run my speedo on the left side right next to the antenna mount. I make sure that the wires are at least 3mm forward of the solder tabs on the speedo.
