Hmmm...guess I haven't had a problem with the band holding the batteries in, even in the odd "sudden impact". I never "zip" mine together either.

Mason,

The band holds very well along with the fiberglass locator plate. The only time i tape my batteries in is at big events such as snowbirds. Every time i have now run the band i have not had my batteries eject. We had a problem with it with the origional locator plate and i changed to a stronger fiberglass one immediately. have no worries buddy, It holds really well.

Hey guys,

I wanted to let you know that we are working on offering machined spurs and pinions very soon. We are working on some prototypes that we will be trying out and once everything is finalized i will release them. The spurs will be 1/12th specific but always possible to use for TC's if you want. The pinions will have a nickel/teflon coating on them to minimize drag. I will keep you all posted on them. I wanted to give a heads up with what we have in the works.

Mr. Gadgt is correct.

I dont know of the tolerances between the plates below it but it might make things tighter especially for those heavy duty pipes some of use like to submarine under.
No, those small rubber rings do not come with the kit. I use them for preference only. I feel as if it's more secure as using strapping tape. I don't mess with tape on my DB12R. Using the retention band is quicker, just as reliable, and cleaner. Just remove the band when the car is not on the track.
