If you do not have an IRS pivot ball tool we suggest the method described in the instructions to install the pivot ball.
From Step 1 in the assembly manual:
"Pop the pivot balls into the arms with the shoulder on the ball facing up. Do this by placing the ball on a hard flat surface and placing the arm over the ball. Carefully push the arm down over the pivot ball. Be careful. It will take a lot of force."

As long as the kingpin slides through the pivot ball freely you will be ok. Try using 5000 wt. 1/8th scale diff oil on the kingpins. I always do this anyway and it will keep the front running real smoothe and actually makes the car feel smoother on the track by dampening the front springs. I would highly reccomend getting the IRS pivot ball tool. It is worth its weight in gold.

It sounds like you folded in part of the pivot ball into the bore where the king pin slides. Dis-assemble you suspension on that side and try passing the king pind throught the damaged ball. If it is smooth you are ok...if it sticks you need to replace the ball. Since the ball is messed up you can use a phillips screw driver that is smaller in diameter then teh hole in the arms to punch the ball out. Do this over a somthing like a socket or anything else that can support the arms while leaving a place for the ball to go after it comes out of the arm.

Hmm, I tried the 50000wt oil and the problem seems to be resolved temporarily. Hope my car will bring me to glory this sat.

For The Racers.
You can get the IRS pivot ball tool at TeamIRSrc.com in the front suspension file, P/N IRS1376 $12.98. I would also recommend the IRS balance Buttons, P/N IRS3020 $12.99 for 2.
The Pivot ball tool will prevent any damage during installation or removal of the pivot balls.
The Balance Buttons are a very simple way to static balance the car so almost no tweak adjustment is needed.
Have Fun,
Dave

Anyway, are there any shims for the front to adjust front width? Is it necessary at all?
