First pic is the farthest it will go in, it doesnt look like it is cross threading either, kinda weird

Force it on!?

I had the same thing happen. I ended up trying to force it on and just shredded the knurled bit until it came off and then tightened it some more with pliers. It held oil for about 30 laps.

I took a hard plastic brush to the inside and outside of the threads with a little oil and did not have a problem.

Dont worry about sending the shock back. I have a spare body and cap that i will send out to you today.

you don't get support like this with any other company.

Another true story. I called Jason on saturday to let him know that I wanted another chassis for my db12r because it has been run on asphault and I wanted a clean chassis for vegas on carpet. He called me back to ask how I was doing at the Florida state series race. i told him that I suck and that this was only the third time I had run asphault. He packed up his tools, db12r and his wife and headed over to help me out. He tweeked on the car before the 3rd qual on sunday and then took half his car apart and installed these part on my db12r. took it for a couple of laps, wrenched some more before the main and then loaned me his body and tires as well for the main. In the main I picked up 5 laps from all my quals. now tell me that any other rc company would do that.

Nova F1 Racer,
I want to thank BMI for the support on our shocks.
Would you please send the cap back to IRS we found a problem with some of them and want to get them back. I apoligize for the problem and would like to correct it. Also if anyone else has the same problem please contact Dave @ 609-476-2371 so a replacement cap can be sent.

Exactly the same thing happened to me also, but I also forced the cap on. I thought it was odd because the CRC shock I had before, the cap went on with no jamming. I havent run the car yet because steering knuckles and the battery locater wasn't packed in the kit but Jason took care of that no problem

. Hopefully the shock will hold oil for more than 30 laps

Jason, let me know if you want me to send my shock in.

Hey Im going to try and get the stuff im just so busy up untill the race and Im 2 hours away from BMI so I might go monday early morning
