Anyone have any idea how I can balance these packs? There is a plug on the back side is this for balancing? What do I need to balance these cells?

Can't make it to any racing this weekend. Wife's B-day weekend. I'll try to attach a pic here.
The yellow wire goes to the balance plug in the battery. I just made one out of solder and used a dremel to shape it. Team orion makes a 2mm banana plug for it. I have one coming from tower this week. Team Orion part #62503.

Does the "2S" harness come with Orion's balancer? If not, where can one be acquired?

The Hyperion balancer comes with the 2S and 3S harness. I don't know if the Orion one comes with one.

The Orion SBS balancer comes with a 2S, 3S, 4S, 5S harnesses.

I heard it wasnt necessary to balance them

It isn't, but people have been known to do some creative things with them on accident and can cause them to go out of balance if this happens balancing is a means to bring them back to their original luster.

I was reading on the Orion web site were it stated that they did not need to be balanced for the first 30 cycles, seeing as I have probably used them around 30 to 40 times in the past 9 months in my supervee and my brush less E-Maxx and wanting to use them in my 10th scale racer thought it would be good for them. They are probably pretty much balanced still as they will run for along time but cant hurt.

There is nothing to it. The connection on the bottom of the battery is just a center tap. A point in between the two cells inside. Using a digital meter, connect to the tap and one of the standard battery leads. Do this to determine positive and negative connection points. For instance, if you put the positive lead from your meter on the tap, and the negative lead from your meter on the positive battery main lead, and the meter reads a negative value, then you should place the leads from your charger on in the reverse of that order. Once you have determined which end is positive and which should be negative, charge with your lithium charger on a 1 cell 4800mah setting, if it is not automatic. When finished, take your meter and do the same between the tap and the other main lead. Once both sides have fully charged, your pack will be balanced.

in every 2 months, I would charge my battery at 2S until it is close to 8.4. Once it's close to 8.4, I will switch to different charger and charge it at 1S for both + and -. So far so good, and I will have around 50 mAh gap taken out. It saves a lot of time too
