Default 12th scale tires

I just started racing 12th scale recently for something to do in the winter off nitro season.

Can somone please explain to me why the heck 12th tires are so darned expensive. Cripes mounted 1/8th on road tires are 5 dollars less. I don't get it??

Also who is a good source for 12th mounted tires. I'm running a 12L3. Looking for greys and purples.

Its a good thing I'm running 4 cell stock.

Thanks

The good news is that a set will last you all season if you don't chunk 'em. Try Calandra. They sell their own formula tire/wheel combos. http://www.teamcrc.com
