What do you run? 5 or 6 cells? wich motor and what traction conditions?
I consider both excellent cars, both best for low grip and/or rubber tires. (t2r even more than the shumi).
The t2r is likelly to need outdrives upgrade if run with hot motors. Despite the outdrive thing, i consider the xray less likely to break.
Also, for 5 cell/1350 grm limit the xray is a litle on the heavy side.
Anyway, if you have parts and support for both, u really cant go wrong with either

Im still running my EC against HB's and the newer Mi3's and im still comptetive so I would say Mi2EC all the way - the spec alone is better and the car will handle bags more than the T2r will.

Xray makes a very durable and competitive product. Prices aren't too outrageous, considering the parts quality. Your T2R will take the occasional board meeting (and usually more ) without a problem. If you go with the Xray, you will conveniently find many setup sheets for any conditions on their website. Xray has all bases covered.
