yea, I use it in both oval and TC. It seems to me on my dyno it gets more power with the hole.

dreamer..depends on the track and what you want to do.....i prefer the gm3....but the p2k is bullet proof.....and the fantom motor should be a quality idem....

I like the P2k for tighter and overall smaller tracks!! But for all out speed with big wide open tracks go with the MVP from Integy!! This thing can really go!!!

Both motors are very good for their prospective jobs!!! With proper care and gearing that is!!

I like the P2K for touring, especially on our track, which is fairly tight. I like the GM3 for off-road, is has a smoother powerband and feels easier to drive with, especially on loose tracks. The Fantom P2K is good, but I have had bad luch with Fantom GM3's. Actually, looking back, I had to tinker with both the GM3 and P2K from fantom to make them good, and they are supposed to do that for you!

Have you ever tried to rewind your armature to hopefully make it better.

I'm going to try to on some used up arms to see if its possible.

What happens if you throw a P2K Arm in a Fantom Green Machine Can. Will that work and I will now have a PK2 kind of or am I screwing with the rules?

Thanks

Default MVPs are the BOMB!!!

MVPs work awesome on small tracks too. Be scared of any driver with a MVP they are very good. I like it better than any motor that I have tried to date. Better than:
Chrome RS
Peak Spitfire
Rage Type R
Race Prep Outlaw 27-R

From what I was told ROAR does not permit what you described, but if it is a club race. go for it. I personally like the GM3 arm in the MVP can.

I'm just wondering what final drive ratio should a GM3 have. Just an approx to check if i'm in the ball park. Thanks

I have run my GM3 with a FDR of 5.25 and the motor gets very hot. Make sure you use a lube that will with-stand the heat to protect the brushes. I made the mistake of not adding lube to the MVP once and I fried the brushes and arm.

I have a P2k pro and love it. This thing has so much torque. with 26 70 gearing in my tc3 i can easily spin the tires. It does not have the greates top end though. But I dont need it for my track.
