I will be watching this thread then for updates! Looks like a really nice motor, I wish I didnt over heat my old motor, but it doesnt smell right LOL, so it cant be to good

The "racing" versions are not and will not be legal in US stock classes.

the first batch of vortex race 2008 do not have the most appropriate rotors, so this could be a reason for the suboptimal performance of these motors so far. At least i was told so by a team driver, we'll see whether Orion comes up with a better rotor for this motor.

Does someone happen to know if the new 08 motors (mod, 4.5/4/3.5) need to be timed the same way like the older (feigao) motors with an LRP (sphere TC) esc, with the 'B' between the B & C solder tabs?
