we found running 5 cell and 1350g is much faster than 6 cell 1500g.

its not a weight thing, just makes the cars handle better and your not wheel spinning for 4 out of the 5 minutes.

lipo would make this worse....

5 cell had calmed the 3.5 /4.5 ....

drivers prefer it to 6 cell as its 2 MORE DRIVEABLE....lipo at 7.4v would be taking 2 steps backwards, in the uk we like to move forward :P

Not talking about stability, I was making reference to the guys saying they had problems making run times on the large tracks. Lipo would pretty much kill that idea. I know 5 cell is more stable than 6, but havent people heard of ESC settings? I mean, not for nothing, adjust your throttle settings and there is a chance, just a small chance, some of that excessive wheel spin can be tamed. NOT KNOCKING ANYBODY OR 5 CELLS, I KNOW FIVE CELL IS FAST..MARCOS SENT ME A COUPLE OF LINKS, SO PLEASE DONT FLAME ME OR CALL ME A FIVE CELL HATER. The lipo plug is strictly speaking for the run times, nothing else.

So, instead of that dumb 5 cell rule they could also have said lowest approved wind is 5.5 or 6.5...
What will they do when a 2.5 comes out?? go to 4 cells??
The 5 cell rule is the dumbest thing ever to come out for touring and yes they are faster, because of the lower weight and the crazy low wind motors they run nowadays.

mostly bigger rotor, you got better brake, more punch, and you can even gear too the other space instead of gear to the moon

We had a 12 turn limit up until last year when motors were let free. But the combo of low turn brushed and high power IB cells together with large (gigantic by US standard) euro tracks proved to be leathal to touring cars. The motors simply blew up because of the revs or the speedos melted. If nothing was done the touring class would be dead within a year. This is why we went to 5 cells with no complaints from any racers. When we had a turn limit it was the most expensive stock class ever run so it was no option to limit winds again.
