1/10 sedan modified of 1/12 scale stock
I usually race in the 1/10 stock sedan. i'm an okay driver and was wondering what type of racing would help improve my skills more 1/12 stock or 1/10 modified. Here is a link to the local track www.capitolcityrc.com

1/12th racing will make you a better driver because there so bloddy fast and you need to drive very precisly and consistently to do well, you can then carry those skills back to TC. The track dosn't look all that big and it looks very tecniqual(sp?) so I'd say 1/12th.

wuts sp? U think i should use p2k2 or monster in 1/10 or 1/12

Monster is probably a better 12th stock, you don't need the torque of a p2k2.

I'd say 1/12th scale stock because it will make you a better driver and quite a bit easier to drive and maintain than touring mod. If you don't have really quick reflexes and good lines, mod will really frustrate you on a small track. On a side note, touring mod sure is a lot of fun

Well - look at it this way... to run 12th scale... you will need all new gear - batteries, servo, tires... etc...
If you run Mod TC - chances are that you will only need a motor...
Mod TC is fun... setup on the car becomes very important... 12th scales require alot of maint...

Tuffer, that is true, but for TC mod you go through batteries quicker, you need to buy A LOT more brushes, and you replace armatures quicker. You're also right about the setup stuff, the faster you go the more noticeable the changes you make are and the handling traits become apparent, so you need better setups. What i meant by maintinance was rebuilding your motor practically every run mainly. But you're right about 12th maintinance, you gotta tweak 'em every run, but if you dont hit stuff it usually isn't too bad
